History

MJ Children’s Services was registered in May 1999. Our first young person moved in May of that year. We have operated continually since then and worked with over 20 local authorities providing flexible services for both boys and girls all with differing needs. The company is owned by Guy Jones.

Before establishing MJ Children’s Services Guy Jones worked in residential care for over 15 years in positions from warden and R.C.W. to manager and director, in both Local Authorities and within the private sector.

MJ Children’s Services has always been a small company allowing flexibility and effective planning through immediate decision making and the ability to respond pro-actively to presenting need. The intention as we move forward  is to offer the same effective management to a greater provision of services, thus providing a complete solution that will not only satisfy the needs of placing authorities but also greatly improve the chances of a young person enjoying a successful and satisfying life.
